2011 Plant Sale

 "The rain drizzled and poured on The Salvation Army Plant sale last Saturday, but the customers kept coming!  Even in difficult weather, more than $9700 was raised by local donors and volunteers at this years Plant Sale.  Fantastic participation by local nurseries, not only through the donation of plant items, but also in sharing their knowledge of horticulture with customers, made this year's event a huge success.  Special thanks to the Ekstrom family for being the largest donor to the event, both in product and expertise.  The funds raised will support The Salvation Army's Social Services programs in East Multnomah County, providing food, clothing, counseling and aid to local needy families and individuals.  Thanks to all of our donors and more than 75 volunteers who made the event a success!"
